Answers to commonly asked questions about our services
WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM WORKING WITH FILLA ENDURANCE?
Enlisting support isn’t just for elite athletes. Athletes of all levels can benefit from hiring a running coach. This could be for someone who would like to run a mile without stopping for a walk break or someone who is ready to tackle their 1st marathon race. That’s not to say that a coach is something that every runner NEEDS to thrive, but the support is invaluable for most. A private running coach can help with training and race guidance for a variety of distances/terrains.
WHAT ARE SOME OF THE THINGS A RUNNING COACH CAN PROVIDE?
Custom training tailored to your custom life
A personal sounding board for your running goals & perceived barriers
Honest feedback from someone who genuinely cares
Expert overview to help avoid burnout, injury, or peaking too soon in performance
A fresh perspective that can push an athlete past a plateau
Race day, stretching, strengthening, and recovery guidance
WHAT QUALIFIES SOMEONE TO COACH RUNNING PROFESSIONALLY?
Educational background in kinesiology and/or exercise science is a great indicator of a qualified running coach.
There are several organizations that provide certification programs for running coaches as well. Some of the prominent running coach certifications to look for are the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA), Jack Daniels VDOT, Lydiard School of Coaching, and USATF. Each of these certifications is slightly different in style and method so it would be advisable to do some research and decide what will work best for your training needs.
